HB Patch and OES Library Newsletter

Students can stop by the OES or HB Patch library to take a guess at the number of Hershey Kisses in the jar! The person with the closest guess will win a new bag of Hershey Kisses and a book!

The winner will be announced on Friday, December 13th!

If all of your library books are returned or renewed by Thursday, December 12th you can enter your name into the drawing to win a Hot Chocolate and Candy Cane! Ask Mrs. Kortbein if you are unsure of any overdue books. Our goal is to have no overdue books before the break.

14 winners will be drawn (one from each class) on December 13th to receive a hot chocolate and candy cane!

The search for the Gnome begins this month! You never know what kind of silliness that Gnome will be up to next! Find him hiding in the library.

You can share what brings you joy by writing on our gratitude graffiti poster during your library time. The poster will decorate the library for others to see what brings you joy.

At OES, write a short story about what brings you joy and it will go in a book for everyone to read in the library!

Below are the rules:

1. Design the tree – get creative!
2. Kids should write their name, age, and best phone number on the back of the tree.
3. Turn in the final tree to one of the Fortifi Bank locations by December 15th for a chance to win a $25 gift card.

There will be three winners per branch (one per age group: 5 and under, 6-9, and 10+). Good Luck!

Our next Battle of the Books meeting for 4th & 5th graders will be in the library on Tuesday, Dec. 17th during your recess.

Please remember to renew or return your overdue library books. Some students might be waiting for a book that was checked out earlier this fall.

The Friends of the Omro Library are having a silent auction! Come bid on baskets, gift cards, hand-made items, and more! Bidding will take place from December 2 through December 14 during regular library hours.

If you don’t have a library card make sure to stop by the public library to sign up for one so you have access to books, movies and more!

Mrs. Gee also has Library Card Application sheets in the library for you to fill out so all you have to do is drop them off. The library staff can issue you your card right away for you to start using.
