Tab Groups

Keep your myriad of lesson planning, research, and daily workflow tabs organized with Chrome Tab Groups! This simple feature lets you group related tabs together and assign them a name and a color. For example, you could have a 'Math' group for your teaching tabs for math, a 'Google' group for Gmail, Calendar, and Drive, or an 'Upcoming Field Trip' group for all of those pesky details. Simply right-click on a tab and select 'Add Tab to New Group' to start. You can then collapse the group to save space on your toolbar. Declutter your browser and keep your digital resources instantly accessible, and those groups save!

Big Time Saver Shortcuts: Reopen last closed tab and Undo

Tired of accidentally closing that crucial lesson material or that essay you were grading? If you close a single tab by mistake, just press Ctrl + Shift + T (or Cmd + Shift + T on Mac) to Reopen Last Closed Tab. You can press it multiple times to reopen the last few tabs you've closed.

Same for that accidental typing or when you start writing out what you were thinking. Ctrl + Z (or Cmd + Z on Mac) will undo the last thing you did. It's one that I use farrrr too many times in a day.

Create a QR Code ANYWHERE on Chrome!

The Chrome QR Code Generator is a fast way to make a little dino QR code! Instead of copying and pasting a long URL into a generator, right click and select 'Create QR Code for this Page'. A scannable code will pop up for the current page to copy or download. You can also find this on the top right three dots and then scroll down to Cast, Save and Share.

Google AI Labs are super cool AND fun!

Many of you have seen the infamous Chrome Music Lab, and Google keep expanding what they want to offer. This is part of Google Experiments which work with all facets of technology from learning to AR/VR to accessibility. To date, they've launched over 1600 experimental products that users like you have helped develop. Many of these Experiments are stable and still around and are able to be used by users under 18.

Google Labs is where you can discover and try Google's latest AI experimental products and help shape the future of AI technology. Get a first look at AI experiments from across the company, give feedback directly to the teams who built them, and help us responsibly scale these technologies into the products you use everyday.

Here are three of my favorites of their AI Labs!

NotebookLM
Make a digital notebook of your sources, and you'll have an AI companion to help you with piecing them together, NOT doing the thinking for you!
GenType
Make your own alphabet styling! I really like cheese, but dislike the Packers. So, I made a beautiful alphabet made of cheese, but the G had a line through it!
Mixboard
Mixboard is an experimental, AI-powered concepting board designed to help you explore, expand, and refine ideas. Basically, Pinterest with less clutter!
