Deer Run Newsletter

Deer Run Families,
Thank you for another wonderful week at Deer Run! We continue to be grateful for your partnership and the many ways you support our students, staff, and school community.
Please be sure to review the important information in this newsletter about our upcoming Warm Wishes Spirit Week, our Donation Drive, and the Penny Harvest. These events give our students meaningful opportunities to learn about generosity, kindness, and community support.
This week, a representative from One Dublin visited our fourth graders to share more about the organization’s mission and the many ways they help families in our community. Students learned how they can support One Dublin through the Adopt-a-Family Program and our Warm Wishes Donation Drive. We are excited to partner with One Dublin again this year and appreciate everything you do to help make a difference for local families.
Additionally, please remember to return your child’s permission form for our upcoming field trip to Jerome High School. We want every student to be able to attend and enjoy this special experience.
We are also excited to share that Deer Run has a new school logo! New Deer Run spirit wear featuring the updated design is now available. You can place orders through our PTO newsletter.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us build a caring and connected school community. We look forward to another great week ahead!
Have a wonderful weekend!

If you child will be absent on this day, please be sure to indicate this in Infinite Campus.
Book Fair
Students previewed the fair and made wish lists this week. The wish lists are a “just a guideline” for families and no one is obligated to purchase anything at the book fair. These same books can be found at the library or bookstore!
Students will be able to make purchases the week of November 10th-14th when they visit the library. Click here for each class’s purchase day. We accept cash, checks written to Dublin Library Association (DLA), credit card, and eWallet. Sales tax of 8% will be collected.
Check out our Book Fair website for more information, including an interactive flier, eWallet set-up, and an online store.
Thank you for your support!
Dismissal Changes
In the event of an emergency and the need to change a student's dismissal method be sure to send an email to the classroom teacher AND the attendance email (Dres_attendance@dublinschools.net). Teachers are extremely busy during the school day, therefore, it is not guaranteed that the teacher would have time to review the parent email prior to dismissal. Be sure to submit changes as early as possible to increase the likelihood that the communication will be received by our school team prior to dismissal.
Student Car Drop Off and Pick Up
As a reminder, car drop off and pick up for all students should take place at the back door of the school. Last school year, students were being dropped off at Grizzell, in the school parking lot, and in the neighborhood adjacent to the school. We want to ensure that all of our students are safely dropped off at school, therefore only the backdoor area should be used. Also, we also want to be considerate of our neighbors that live in the homes adjacent to the school. Therefore, adhering to this guidelines is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
