Regarding Gel-Filled Fidgets
Dear Families,
At the elementary level, we have noticed an increase in gel-filled and other substance-filled squishy fidgets popping and creating messes, particularly on school buses.
At this time, the use of these fidgets will remain a classroom-based decision. We will continue to teach students the importance of choosing appropriate fidgets and using them as tools to support learning rather than as toys. If a fidget is used inappropriately or becomes a distraction, teachers may ask students to put it away.
Additionally, our Transportation Department has requested that gel-filled and substance-filled fidgets not be brought on school buses.
Thank you for your support in helping us keep our classrooms and buses clean, safe, and focused on learning!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dietz
Picture Retake Day

If you would like your child’s portrait retaken:
Once picture packages arrive, please complete the retake form included with the prints.
Return the completed form and the entire picture package to school on or before October 27.
Introducing the 2026-2027 Cardinal Crew
Each year, second-grade students are nominated by their teachers and selected to serve as Cardinal Crew leaders at the Hoyle School. Working alongside their faculty advisor, Ms. Andrea Furtado, these students take on leadership opportunities throughout the school, including welcoming new students, assisting with special events, and helping plan and choose fun school theme days.
Ms. Furtado and I are proud to welcome our 2026–2027 Cardinal Crew: Eleanor Cabral, Natalie Connors, Jack Gaspar, Benjamin Godwin, Jameson Lindo, Jolene Lydon, Amelia Pacheco, Quentin Platt, Lilyanah Rutkowski, Eliot Sherlock, and Carson Theising.
Congratulations to our Cardinal Crew! We look forward to seeing the leadership, kindness, and school spirit you bring to the Hoyle community this year!
2nd Grade at Chamberlain Farm!
Our second graders traveled to Chamberlain Farm yesterday where they experienced a beautiful Fall day on a New England Farm. The students all received high praises for demonstrating kindness and respect throughout the day. Well done, second graders, thank you for making Hoyle School proud!

Thank you to everyone who ordered through the Meadow Farms fundraiser. We are looking forward to our delicious delivery on November 19th - stay tuned for more details as orders must be pickup on this day due to the lack of freezer space.
We exceeded our fundraising goal and are so appreciative of the support. We are looking forward to collaborating on even more ways to support the students and staff.

Counseling Tip of the Week!
It's okay to ask for help!
As children grow, they are learning to do more things independently, but that doesn't mean they have to do everything on their own! Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Remind your child that everyone needs help sometimes, and trusted adults are there to support them when something feels difficult or confusing.
Try it at home: Ask your child, “What could you do if something feels too hard to do on your own?” Practice identifying trusted adults they can turn to for help at school and at home.
We have many wonderful resources to help you stay connected and get information.
