We're almost at the finish line

Lincoln Families,

As we begin June, we recognize Pride Month, a time to celebrate diversity and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every student feels valued, respected, and a sense of belonging at Lincoln. Our strength as a community comes from embracing and supporting one another.

It is also hard to believe that we have just 9 school days remaining in the school year. The final days will be filled with learning, celebrations, performances, and special events as we recognize the many accomplishments of our students. Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Let's make these last nine days a great finish to an outstanding year.

Thank you!

On Thursday, we were proud to celebrate our African American 8th-grade students during the annual Rites of Passage Ceremony. This meaningful tradition honors students as they complete their middle school journey and prepare for the transition to high school.

The ceremony celebrated the accomplishments, leadership, cultural pride, and bright futures of our students while recognizing the important role of families, mentors, and community members in supporting their success. We are incredibly proud of these scholars and congratulate them on this important milestone.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special celebration possible.

This week

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, our 7th-grade students will participate in Worthwhile Life Interviews, a meaningful experience designed to encourage reflection on what gives life purpose, meaning, and value. Through guided conversations with volunteer interviewers, students will have the opportunity to share their experiences, aspirations, strengths, and the people and values that matter most to them.

This unique experience helps students build confidence, develop self-awareness, and reflect on the qualities that contribute to a fulfilling and worthwhile life. We look forward to providing our students with this special opportunity for growth and connection.

Lions in Action!

It was an exciting week for Lincoln Athletics! Congratulations to our 6th Grade Co-Ed Volleyball Team, who capped off an undefeated season with a victory over our crosstown friends at JAMS on Friday. What an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the hard work, teamwork, and dedication of our student-athletes and coaches.

We also want to recognize our Varsity Co-Ed Volleyball Team, who advanced all the way to the championship game before falling in a hard-fought match. Their championship appearance capped off an outstanding season, with Friday's loss being only their second of the year.

We concluded the week by celebrating all of our spring athletes at our Spring Sports Banquet, recognizing their effort, sportsmanship, and achievements throughout the season. We are proud of all of our Lions and thank our coaches, families, and supporters for another successful year of Lincoln Athletics.
