High Lites June 14, 2024
A Message from Perkiomen Valley High School
HS News
Dear Parents and Students,
Although my last day at PV is mid- July, this will be the last High Lites newsletter I send to you. After many wonderful years at PV, it's time for me to pass the torch. Starting in July, Dr. Zach Fuller will step into the role of Lead Principal. I am confident he will bring fresh energy and new ideas to our beloved Valley. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to him.
As I reflect on my time here, my heart is filled with gratitude. The journey we've shared has been incredibly rewarding, and I will forever cherish the memories and connections made. Your support and dedication have made our school community a special place.
Thank you, PV, for allowing me to be a part of your lives. Wishing you all continued success and happiness.
With a heavy heart, I say goodbye.
Signing off with love,
Cyndi Moss

Report Cards and Transcripts
Report cards will be available in ParentVue Thursday June 20th. Transcripts for graduated seniors will be sent to colleges before July 1. Please note that some schools (example Penn State) receive so many transcripts that you may receive notification from them that they did not receive them, although they have been sent. It sometimes takes the universities several weeks to mark the transcripts as received.
Summer Assignments
- There are summer assignments for various AP, Science, World Language and electives. Please use double check Summer Assignments to see if classes your student has requested has required summer assignments.
Summer Reading Program
Perkiomen Valley School District believes it is critical for students to foster positive reading habits in order to develop as lifelong learners. The district’s summer reading program encourages students to read high-interest, self-selected texts. SAFE2SAY
Our students can submit an anonymous tip through the Safe2Say Program. Tips are typically related to a variety of challenges our students experience or witness, such as bullying, harassment, disrespectful language, safety concerns, etc. When a tip is received, the State (who runs Safe2Say) immediately follows up with building administrators
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
Did you know that the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline?
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
https://988lifeline.org/current-events/the-lifeline-and-988/
The previous Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis.
TRANSFER PV GOOGLE FILES
Seniors can save some or all of their Google Drive files and emails to take with them when they graduate. If needed, they can read through this information about using Google Transfer or Google Takeout. Please note, their PV account will be disabled and will no longer be accessible after July 15, 2024.
