Why is Annual Registration important?

The schools need to verify that your information has not changed and is accurate for the upcoming school year. Annual Registration is where you complete all parent/guardian forms such as transportation, medical, and Responsible Use Policy (RUPs), that allow your student to access district networks and computers.

How do I complete Annual Registration?

  1. Log into your ParentPortal account here
  2. Click on Annual Registration. (Will be listed under Navigation after March 16)

If you need help resetting or creating a Parent Portal account, please contact the school student data coordinator.

What should I do if I no longer live in Richland Two or if I have moved within the district and need to provide updated proof of residence?

If you have moved, please contact your current school registrar. Moving within district boundaries will require you to provide (2) proofs of residence: A copy of the most recent mortgage statement or the full lease and 1 utility bill.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Your cooperation in meeting these requirements is greatly appreciated.

Parent Input Form

As we begin preparing for the 2026–2027 school year, we would like your input regarding your child’s strengths and needs to help ensure a successful school year. Please take some time to complete the attached form and submit it by June 3, 2026, so that we may consider your feedback as we make class placements. Thank you for your input!

Extra Yearbooks on Sale

We have 16 extra copies of our 2025-2026 yearbook for sale. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis. You may purchase them in the front office from Mrs. Turner for $25 (exact cash only).

Breakers for 2026-2027

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in the BRE BREAKERS After-School Program. Due to the high demand for the After-School Program, we incurred a waiting list for the 2025-2026 school year. For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, limited spots will be available and will be filled with students that are currently on the waiting list until all vacancies are filled. If your student is awarded one of these spots, you will be notified via email by May 31, 2026 . If there are any remaining spots available, our BRE parents will be notified via Parent Square. All vacancies will be filled on a first come first serve basis, and will depend on the spots available for that student’s grade level. BREAKERS accepts students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Keith Robinson at the email provided. keirobinson@richland2.org.

Thank you,

Keith Robinson

Assistant Director

Summer Break

Wow, another year has come and gone and it is hard to believe that summer break is already upon us! This time of year is filled with endless opportunities to make lasting memories and allow for some special family bonding. We all know our children really do grow up quickly and, often before we realize, it is easy to have missed a few opportunities. The following are some suggestions for summer time activities that will develop social skills and family/community connections.

  1. Talk to your child about some volunteer topics and pick something out you can do together as a family (donating pet food to an animal shelter, dropping off cards or goodies at a nursing home, gathering old toys for donations, raking leaves for a neighbor, etc.)

  2. Make and send “thinking of you” cards to relatives who live out of town

  3. Spend time outside (maybe go on a picnic)

  4. Read together

  5. Create a game/craft/movie night with snacks (the key is to participate together)

  6. Make a photo album together of your family vacation or a local outing

  7. Encourage other activities and help your child create their own list of “Fun Things to Do”

Of course, an important part of summer break will be having fun “doing nothing” and enjoying unorganized activities too. Please be aware of the amount of time your children spend watching television, playing video games, or engaging in social media. Two hours or less of screen time, per day, is a good goal to aim for. Here are some guidelines to consider:

  1. Set clear ground rules about when, where, how much, and what kind of game playing/television watching/social media is allowed (monitoring content is also important)

  2. Have clear consequences if time limits are not observed (use a timer if needed)

  3. Consider keeping computer/devices/gaming systems in a family room where children can be more easily monitored

Benefits of Outside Time:

A great deal of evidence is showing us how spending time outdoors can provide physical and mental health benefits for folks of all ages. I’ve included an outdoor scavenger hunt that can be a super fun family activity during summer break, and some examples of how spending time outside can even encourage social skill development!

Being outside can improve memory, fight depression, and lower blood pressure & so much more — HERE
