CCMR Verifier Closes June 26
The CCMR Verifier will be available in TEAL June 4 - 26. The verifier enables districts to review and verify NON-PEIMS CCMR outcomes for students, and, when necessary, submit official documentation to request data correction during the verification window. Data that can be corrected through the verifier include: OnRamps, AP, IB, SAT, ACT, TSIA, Level I and Level II certificates, and Military Enlistment (DD4 forms).
PEIMS data elements are reported but not eligible for correction with the verifier, they must be corrected through a PEIMS Working Submission. In order to allow sufficient time for working submissions to be processed and confirmed, we recommend trying to have those completed by June 12.
There are 3 resources attached below if you have questions on the verifier.
ECR - Auto Rescore Report
If you need assistance determining which ECRs were automatically rescored, Region 5 has created these instructions. DMAC and Eduphoria are included in a single PDF.
2026 Raw Score Conversion Tables
Spring 2026 Raw Score Conversion Tables are available on the TEA website. Science charts are scheduled to post at the end of July.
Science Early Guidance Tables
Science Assessment Results Guidance tables are linked below. This should help campuses estimate Science passing percentages.
Lead4ward STAAR Frequency Distribution Resources
Lead4ward has updated their Frequency Distribution Resources with 2026 information.
Campus Comparison Groups - June 26
The 2026 Campus Comparison Groups are now available. These groups are used to determine Distinction Designations, with campuses earning distinctions based on top quartile performance within their comparison group, as outlined in Chapter 6 of the 2026 Accountability Manual.
Graduation and Drop Out Rates - June 4
Final Graduation and Dropout Rate information are available in TEAL. This is located under the Research and Analysis tab. Remember that in Domain 1 calculations, it will be the best of the 4-year, 5-year, or 6-year rate for all students. However, in Domain 3, the 4-year federal graduation rate is used.
A-F Estimator
The A-F Estimator is a tool that enables the calculation and estimation of a campus's performance in each domain and overall ratings and is one of the featured tools shared during TEA's Accountability Tools webinar. The How to Use the A-F Accountability Estimator Tool video provides a 3-minute spotlight on the tool and its purpose, offering helpful context for how the estimator can be used in accountability planning and analysis. This video is intended as an introductory resource and can be used to build foundational understanding of the A-F Estimator tool.
Consecutive Unacceptable Counts Roadmap
The Consecutive Unacceptable Counts Roadmap is attached below. This resource provides an overview of the consecutive unacceptable counts methodology, explains how accountability ratings impact interventions, and outlines the exit criteria. This guide also includes useful FAQs, example scenarios, and reference material to support planning and decision-making.
HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List
The HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List (RWL) approves supplemental instructional products that may be used to waive the 4-to-1 student-to-tutor ratio for eligible students as determined by HB 1416. While school systems may use a variety of instructional tools to support accelerated instruction, only products included on the RWL are eligible for the ratio waiver.
HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List Overview:
- Products were evaluated based on evidence of efficacy, rigor of supporting research, opportunities for student independence, alignment with accelerated instruction requirements, and alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
- School systems are responsible for selecting, contracting, and funding any product they choose to implement.
- TEA did not conduct a suitability review of products on the HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List. Vendors are required to meet SBOE suitability requirements to remain eligible.
School systems are responsible for ensuring that all instructional materials meet local suitability standards and applicable state requirements, including: - All products approved for inclusion on the HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List must also be reviewed and approved through the State Board of Education’s (SBOE) Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) process when the applicable subject area or course is called for review.
- Additional information about the HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List and review process is available on the HB 1416 webpage.
The review process for the HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List was conducted in winter 2025 and included a third-party evaluation of the rigor of research studies submitted by supplemental online curriculum vendors. Based on the results of that evaluation, no new products were approved for inclusion on the 2026-27 HB 1416 Ratio Waiver List.
2026 Performance Levels - Domain 2 A Growth & HB 1416
Attached are the charts to determine individual student growth for Domain 2A. These are also the charts to differentiate between 15 and 30 hours of required accelerated instruction. Students in 4th and above who scored Did Not Meet Low are required to participate in 30 hours of Accelerated Instruction. Students in 4th and above who scored Did Not Meet High are required to participate in 15 hours of Accelerated Instruction.
Campus Obsoletion Requests
Based on the 2026 Accountability Manual, the deadline to request to close a campus for the 2026-27 school year is September 1, 2026.
This timeline allows sufficient time for review and processing prior to the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) fall enrollment and charter waitlist collections. Obsoletion requests for the upcoming school year are typically processed during the summer, after the current school year ends and before the new school year begins.
Important considerations for campuses with accountability implications: For any campus number request involving a campus with an overall D or F rating or identified for comprehensive support and improvement under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), districts and charter schools must first consult with the TEA Office of Governance. Each such request is then reviewed by an agency campus number committee.
Campus status change requests received before the release of 2026 accountability ratings may not be processed until after the public release of this information.
For guidance on submitting a Campus Obsoletion Request, please reference the AskTED Obsoletion Request Instructions Guide. For questions or assistance regarding the information in this communication, please contact AskTED@tea.texas.gov.
Local Accountability Plan Grant closes June 26
