Lockdown Drill with the AHPD
To continue preparing for emergencies, students and staff participated in a lockdown drill with Officer O’Leary and Officer Seebacher from the Arlington Heights Police Department this morning.
Just before the drill, we reminded the students via the PA that this is a drill. Students and staff quickly relocated to designated safe places inside the school. During the drill, the staff reiterated that it is a drill and that we are safe.
While no one wants to think about an emergency at school, we want to ensure our students and staff are prepared. The goal is to ensure everyone knows what to do in an emergency. We encourage you to continue having conversations with your children about school and community safety. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
Share Your Families Culture with Us!
We’re looking for families interested in creating a display for our cases outside the library to share their culture, traditions, and heritage. Please look at the examples on the form for some ideas!
Right now, we’re just gathering interest—if you’d like to participate, please fill out the form below!
