Briscoe Report Card Information
Attached you will find a copy of the 2020-2021 School Report Card produced by the Texas Education
Agency for all schools in the state. The report provides information concerning student performance
on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on
student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. It is intended specifically to inform
parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.
Also attached are the 2020-2021 School Report Card definitions to help you understand the report.
These definitions describe programs at all levels, so some definitions may not all apply to the school
your child attends.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, campuses and districts received a label of Not Rated: Declared State
of Disaster for the 2020–21 school year.
The 2020-2021 School Report Cards are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s website at

High School Course Selection
Students met with their high school counselors to review course selections for the 2022-2023 school year. After reviewing these course selections with your child, ONLY return the planning guide if changes are made.
Course selections for the new school year have been entered into HAC, however they are not finalized. In spring, you will be receiving correspondence from the high school, at which time you will be able to finalize any changes.
If your child was absent, they received an email from Mrs. Leyva on Tuesday, Feb. 1st, to include the planning guide of course selections. Please encourage your child to review this email and contact their Briscoe counselor for any questions.
Please continue to review our Class of 2026 newsletter for the most up to date information.
