Congratulations to the LCA Academic Champs and Warriors for Fall 2024. These secondary students have earned this achievement based on their semester grades and GPA as of December 20, 2024.

The Academic CHAMPS include all full-time secondary students with an overall semester GPA of 4.0 or higher and with no average below an 85.

The Academic WARRIORS include all full-time secondary students with an overall semester GPA of 3.5 to 4.0 and with no average below an 80.

NHS will be collecting diapers and wipes for the Hope Clinic this month. Please bring a pack of diapers (25 or more) AND one box of wipes to your Bible teacher to earn a week of free dress! (Dates of free dress week to be determined) Please make sure you put your name and grade level on a post it note on the items. Help us bless the Hope Clinic and their clients!

On Tuesday, January 14th from 2:15 to 3:00 pm, NHS will be meeting with 3rd graders to help with Famous Americans. All NHS members are expected to attend.

There is no school on MLK Day next Monday January 20th.

Junior High and High School students that are playing tennis need to have their physicals turned in BEFORE practice begins. HS tennis practice will begin on Tuesday, January 21 from 4-5 pm at the Tennis Center on College. You will not be allowed to practice if you do not have a physical on file. Players will need to be dressed in appropriate attire, with a tennis racket, and on the courts by 4 pm. A schedule of practices and tournaments will be handed out on the 21st. Please see Mrs. Huynh if you have any questions or concerns. Junior High tennis will begin in February.

Balfour will be on campus during lunch, Wednesday, January 22, in the Dabney to size students for Letterman Jackets. Letterman jacket packets can be picked up from Mrs. Short's office. Letterman jackets are for students who have played two years in a Varsity sport, and the Booster Club covers the cost of the jacket. Payment for sleeve patches and back name patches will be due at the time of ordering.

Next Thursday January 23rd is pajama day!

It's that time to start preparing for the YMBL State Fair! We have four categories we are entering in this year: Art, Quilting, Photography, and Graphic Design. Art, Quilting, Photography, and Graphic Design submissions are due by February 12th, 2025.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post #1806 of Beaumont would like to invite and encourage 6-8th graders to participate in the "Illustrating America Contest", and 9-12th graders to participate in two art contests, "The Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest" and "The 3-Dimensional Patriotic Art Contest." Our 9th graders are presenting their Project Based Learning Research Project on March 27th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Rec gym. We are inviting all parents to attend this event!

Cheer tryouts will take place on March 24-28th in the Dabney for those interested in being a part of the cheer team for next school year. For more information, there will be a parent meeting on March 10th in the Dabney at 3:30 pm or 6 pm. All participants must be registered for the 2025-2026 school year.

Library Days/Times Change—All secondary students are allowed to visit the library on the elementary campus Tuesday and Thursday from 2:40 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Reminder - If books are checked out they need to be returned in a timely manner. .

The weekly game schedule is also available in the announcements below. Coaches will communicate through their avenues of choice if there are any changes.
