CENTER MIDDLE SCHOOL

HAPPENINGS

CENTERMIDDLE SCHOOLHAPPENINGS

Greetings,

It is hard to believe we are 3/4 of the way through our school year already. It seems that just yesterday we welcomed the students to the first day of the 2022-2023 school year here at CMS and now we are 9 weeks from saying goodbye for summer. Only 9 weeks away from being ready to welcome a new group of 6th graders to CMS and sending our 8th graders to CHS to begin their high school career as freshmen. With that said though, there is still so much left to accomplish in these next 9 weeks. Students will continue to learn new material, as well as prepare for our upcoming STAAR testing that will begin here in a few weeks. Even though STAAR testing isn't the be all and end all of students success, it is a valuable tool in assessing a student's progress they have made throughout the year. Please help your student perform to the best of their ability on these by ensuring they are at school on time, present every day, and encouraged daily to work to the best of their ability. The teachers are pouring their hearts and souls into these students now, just as they have all year long.
