DFP Family Update
December 19, 2025
Thank you
Dear Feeney Families,
Thank you for your kindness and generosity throughout the year, and especially during these recent weeks. Our staff truly enjoyed the delicious lunch from Conrad’s, and the Starbucks and Dunkin’ gift cards will certainly help keep us energized through December 23! We are so grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community of families.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend—we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday. As a reminder, Tuesday, December 23 is an early release day with dismissal at 11:00 a.m. It is also another pajama day as we head into winter break!
With gratitude,
Julie Martin
Tuesday, December 23 is an Early Release Day at 11:00 am
Application for the 2026-2027 School Year
We are excited to announce that the application window will officially open on January 5, 2026.
This program offers a wonderful opportunity for children to learn and grow in an inclusive, engaging environment. Please review the following important details regarding the enrollment process:
Application Date: Applications will be available starting January 5, 2026.
Selection Process: All peer slots will be filled via a lottery system. This means there is no advantage to applying "first," provided your application is submitted within the designated window. The application window will remain open for two weeks.
More Information: For program details, eligibility requirements, and the application link, please visit our website at: Daniel Feeney Preschool Application
Please contact Julie Martin, Director of the Daniel Feeney Preschool, with any questions: jmartin@walpole.k12.ma.us or 508-660-7374 ext. 5681

Playground Rendering
We are excited to share our the rendering of our playground in the selected color palette. It is a combination of blues, aqua and light gray.
Cold Weather Gear Reminder
As the weather finally makes a turn please help your children remember to bring cold weather gear to school. Some of our first recesses are earlier in the morning when it is still chilly enough to wear jackets. It's a good idea to dress in layers as some of the afternoon recesses can be much warmer. Better to have the jacket and not need it then be too cold outside! Remember to label eveerything please!
Also MITTENS are far easier for little hands than gloves!
When the snow arrives, your child's classsroom teacher will communicate when to pack snow gear for a "snow play day" (snow pants, boots, etc.).
