Girls' Soccer

This past week the 8th grade girls battled it out with Bernal, ending the match with a 2-0 victory!! The 7th grade girls did an awesome job keeping the knights ,who have a high scoring record, down to just two goals. Good luck next against the Vale Stingrays!

Band Update

The Honors and Symphonice Bands finished their UIL competition season with Sweepstakes awards. That is 1st division ratings from all 6 judges! All band students also had a wonderful performance at the first ever side-by-side concert. Thanks Taft band for performing with us and thank you to all the family memebers that came out to support our young musicians and hear about our upcoming Bond.

School Bond 2022

No tax rate increase means no tax rate increase

No tax rate increase is anticipated with the proposed $992 million school bond. However, ballot language will include the statement, “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.” Legislation passed in the 2019 Texas Legislative Session requires that school districts include this language, regardless of the bond’s impact on the district’s tax rate. This law only applies to school district bonds. You will not see this language on other governmental entities' bond proposals.

The district has the capacity to issue additional bonds without a tax rate increase because of expected property value growth and the fact that NISD is continuously paying off prior debt.

Family Survey

Dear Families,

Our district values your feedback! Briscoe is excited to invite you to participate in our Family Survey. We are currently surveying families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district effectiveness. To help us learn how to make your child’s schooling experience as positive and beneficial as possible, we need your feedback.

We have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2022 Family Survey. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses confidential. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make improvements in our school and district. Families should take the survey focusing on the experience of their eldest child.

You may complete the survey online between Monday, April 25th and Friday, May 13th using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website

https://surveys.panoramaed.com/nisd/bri058/surveys and entering your school’s access code:

bri058

We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 210-398-1100.

Thank you,
