Welcome Back!
Our halls are once again filled with energy, excitement, and the wonderful sounds of our students. It’s so great to see familiar faces and welcome new ones to our school community. We’re looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, new experiences, and plenty of opportunities to make lasting memories. We’re excited for all that this school year has in store and are grateful to have our students, families, and staff back together again!
We’ll be honest—we were a little anxious to see how yesterday would go with the new locker and electronic device policies. Change can be challenging, and we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Our students rose to the challenge. They handled the changes with maturity, flexibility, and a great attitude. We know it wasn’t easy, and we are incredibly proud of the way our kids stepped up and made the day a success. They proved what it means to be a Hull kid—to adapt, to rise to the occasion, and to take on a challenge together. We couldn’t be more proud of them!
A special thank you to our amazing custodial staff for all of their hard work throughout the summer. They worked tirelessly to clean, organize, maintain, and prepare our building so that it would be ready to welcome students and staff back for a wonderful new school year. Their dedication and attention to detail truly make a difference, and we are so grateful for everything they do!

Locker Up, Pirates!
Now that every student has a locker, we’d love your help filling it with a few items that can make their school day a little easier!
Think of their locker as a small “just in case” station. A few things you might consider sending in include:
🧥 A sweatshirt or light jacket for those chilly days when the weather starts to turn
👕 A change of clothes for unexpected needs
🧴 Personal care items such as deodorant, feminine care products, wipes, or other essentials
🍎 A snack to enjoy after school between 2:20 p.m. and extracurricular activities
💧 A refillable water bottle
🩹 Any other small items your student may find helpful throughout the day
There’s no need to go overboard—just a few thoughtfully chosen items can make a big difference. As an added bonus, keeping a few of these essentials in their locker can help cut down on those last-minute trips to school to drop off something your student forgot or suddenly needs!
Important Back to School Forms
Yesterday, students brought home an Emergency Contact Form and Student Handbook Signature page. Please take a moment to review and complete both forms, and return them to school as soon as possible. If your student has misplaced either form, please contact the Main Office at 781-925-3000 to request a replacement. We are happy to provide another copy. Thank you for your help in making sure we have the most up-to-date information for all of our students!
Students had their school pictures taken yesterday! Parents and caregivers should keep an eye out for an email from Lifetouch with information on how to view and order your student’s school photos. Please be sure to check your inbox, as well as your spam or junk folder, for ordering details. We can’t wait for you to see those smiles!

Senior College Parent Night
Join us on September 30th in Hull High School's Exhibition Room at 6:00pm for Senior College Night. We have designed an evening to help families navigate the college application process with confidence. We’ll review important senior-year timelines and deadlines, discuss the college application process, and share tips for staying organized throughout the fall. There will also be time for questions and answers so families can feel prepared and supported as they begin this exciting next step.
Superintendent's Message
We kicked off our return to the 2026-27 school year with an ALL STAFF Convocation this past Monday morning, followed by 2 full days of professional learning. It is always wonderful to see staff return to the schools energized for a busy year ahead! For 2026-27, we have prioritized the refinement of our curriculum guides in grades 6-12 along with training in both Everyday Math (grades K-5) and Envision Math (Grades 6-12).
It was great to see students return to school yesterday! Those of us who work throughout the summer miss the rhythm of a school full of students and learning. Thanks for continuing to trust us with the care and development of your children.
The School Committee will be meeting once a month in the coming year, typically on the first Monday of each month. At their September 8th meeting (a rare Tuesday night due to Labor Day), they will be voting on the recently completed 5-year Strategic Plan for the Hull Public Schools. Once approved, we will be sending out communication to the community of Hull about the Strategic Initiatives in our plan.
The Vision of HPS: Honoring Community. Promoting Confidence. Sparking Curiosity.
