π£ Principalβs Message
Lipscomb Family,
Weβre closing down the street for a community block party, and we want you there! This Saturdayβs Battle of the Bands is PTAβs biggest fundraiser of the year, featuring student performers from Woodrow and a special set from our very own Lipscomb DADS!
Our PTA is essential to our successβthey support snack carts, field trips, classroom needs, and so much more, especially as educational funding shrinks. Your presence this weekend helps keep that support strong.
Bring your family, friends, and neighborsβitβs going to be a night of music, fun, and Pride.
See you Saturday!
- Principal Carter

πΈ Battle of The Bands Is Here! πΈ
Invite Your Friends, Relatives, Neighbors... Everyone!
Lipscomb PTA needs your help spreading the word about our Battle of the Bands spring fundraiser! Here is how you can help:
- Share our Battle of the Bands posts on social media
- Personally email friends, especially neighbors in the community! A flourishing neighborhood school is important for everyone who lives there.
"Hi friends and family! As you know, [name of your Lipscomb Lion] attends Lipscomb Elementary, a Title 1 Dallas ISD neighborhood school. Our PTA works hard to make sure that our students and teachers are taken care of, and that includes fundraising for things like teacher supplies and our Peace Pantry. I am reaching out to invite you to our spring fundraiser, the Battle of the Bands! It is on Saturday, March 29th from 1pm to 4pm adjacent to Lipscomb. Performances include "Dad bands," a mariachi band, and Woodrow student bands! There will be food, drinks, and kids activities. It should be a really fun event and I hope you will consider attending or purchasing a ticket even if you can't make it. Hope to see you there!"
