Did you know that April is Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM)? As Governor Abbott stated in his proclamation, “Child abuse prevention cannot be tasked to one community, agency, or system. Behind many successful families is a strong community that enabled the family to meet its needs.” If a family needs parenting help, the Texas Parent Helpline is ready to listen, find solutions, and direct families to local resources. Parents can call 833-680-0611 or Text 833-680-0611. https://getparentingtips.com/ is another helpful resource from the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services.
