A Message From Principal Glenn
Feburary 4, 2026
Greetings Parents and Guardians,
This letter is to inform you of a student walkout that occurred today, providing students who chose to amplify their voices on recent events with the opportunity to do so while maintaining a safe campus environment. Participation was voluntary and should not be seen as an endorsement or approval of a demonstration or walkout.
Our primary focus throughout the walkout was student safety and supervision with minimal disruption to the school day. Staff and administrators were present to ensure safety and a calm and orderly school environment. My sincere appreciation to our students for their peaceful demonstration and for returning to class as directed, and to our staff for their care, flexibility, and professionalism.
We also understand that events like this can bring up meaningful conversations at home. We encourage families to continue talking with students about positive ways to raise awareness, advocate for change, and express their ideas. Additional support is available for students who may need help processing their emotions. Our campus has trained and certified school counselors and access to mental health professionals.
Thank you for your partnership and support as we work together to guide our students through moments that challenge them to think critically, reflect, and grow.
Sincerely,
Alexis Glenn
Principal BHMS
