Water ᎠᎹ (a-ma)

We watched Osiyo TV and learned the importance of water to the Native Americans. In Pre-European times, Natives built their homes near a water source. Water is considered sacred.

Fire ᎪᏛ (go-tv)

Fire is also considered sacred to the Native Americans. A constant fire would burn in the council house and during Ceremonies, the houses in the community would extinguish their fires in their homes and relight with fire taken from the sacred fire.
