Air Force JROTC – Air, Space, and Cyber Conference

Cadets from AFJROTC had the unique opportunity to attend the National Air, Space, and Cyber Conference as one of the few JROTC units worldwide to be able to meet with Brigadier General Cantwell and Chief Master Sergeant McKeen. Cadets Christopher Johnson and Caroline White spoke about their experiences earning their FAA pilot license this summer on the AFJROTC Flight Academy scholarship. Cadets Sailor Eastman and Gabriella Brown discussed what they learned after the Tommy Franks Four Star Leader scholarship this summer. Included on the conference floor, cadets got to see the newest technological advances that civilian and military partnerships were creating. Cadets flew mixed virtual reality simulators as advanced as the military practices with, and they were able to “fly” F-16s and various helicopters. If you would like to learn more or join our school’s Junior ROTC, you can contact your counselor or either instructor in room 1161. Our AFJROTC instructors are Col Dan Vasenko and SMSgt Dave Shuler.
