Letter from the Principal

Greetings Wildcat Families!

Thank you for another wonderful week at Woodland Elementary! Our students continue to amaze us with their hard work, growth, and enthusiasm for learning. We are grateful for the strong partnership we share with our families and community as we work together to support the success of every Wildcat.

Sandy Springs Education Force Lightning 5K/10K

Feel the Energy. Fuel the Future! Join the Sandy Springs Education Force (SSEF) Lightning 5K/10K on October 24, 2026. Proceeds support programs benefiting all 10 public schools in Sandy Springs, including Woodland Elementary.

Participants will receive a race t-shirt, and finishers will earn a custom-designed medal. The event will also feature a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with a DJ, vendors, giveaways, face painting, photo opportunities, free parking, and more. Help Woodland compete for the Spirit Cup Trophy awarded to the largest school team! Additionally, the largest school team with at least 40 participants will earn $350 for their PTO/PTA. We encourage all Woodland families and staff to register and show their Wildcat pride while supporting a great cause.

First Semester Progress Grades

Parents will be able to view their child's current grades in Infinite Campus beginning Friday, October 16. We encourage families to review their student's academic progress and celebrate their accomplishments. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's current grades, please reach out directly to your child's teacher.

November 3 – Remote Learning/Election Day

Tuesday, November 3, is a Remote Learning Day for all students. Teachers will provide asynchronous learning assignments for students to complete at home. Thank you for your partnership and support as we continue to provide meaningful learning opportunities for our students.

Change of School Assignment (COSA)

The Annual Enrollment window for Change of School Assignment (COSA) requests will be open October 20 through December 18. Families interested in attending a school outside of their attendance zone for the 2027-2028 school year are encouraged to submit their applications during this enrollment window. Applying during this timeframe helps the district plan for staffing, budgeting, and enrollment needs. Families with questions regarding eligibility or the application process are encouraged to contact the school for additional information.

Thank you for your continued support of Woodland Elementary. It is truly a privilege to serve this incredible community. We hope you and your family have a safe, restful, and enjoyable weekend.
