Greetings from Mrs. Phelan

Dear Families,

This week we welcome parents to attend our virtual open house. Grade level teams will give parents an overview of curriculum and classroom expectations. In grades k-2, parents will be introduced to our newest learning platform See Saw. Teachers will individually invite you to attend a classroom specific meeting. Our schedule begins at 4:30 to 8:00 pm; we've aimed to allow parents of multi-age children to attend, at minimum, the grade level team meeting. We recognize open house schedules don't meet every family's needs. Therefore, we will record each meeting and share them with you if you cannot attend the live meeting.

Families of kindergarten through grade 2 students who were unable to drop by Friday to pick up materials your welcome to come by Tuesday-Friday between 8:30-2:30. Our reading team has put together lots of great materials and books for your child.

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Stacy

We are operating in uncharted territory right now that nobody could have possible imagined or prepared for. Your JR Lowell Student Support Team wants you to know that your feelings are valid, no matter what they are. You might feel scared, confused, overwhelmed, angry, alone, grateful, or completely calm. You might feel many things at once, like being upset that an event was cancelled, but happy that you can wear pajamas all day. Your feelings are normal; the situation is not. Don't forget to breathe.

This Virtual Calming Room is a place for students and families to find tools and strategies for managing emotions and feelings. We are here to support you!
