Virtue of the Month
In February, we celebrate the virtue of empathy. God wants us to understand and care about
others. God has given us the ability to form connections with each other - to live together.
Empathy helps us to connect and live together in safe, caring, inclusive communities.
An empathetic person...
- listens when people speak
- notices when someone is upset and tries to help
- can name his/her feelings
- can see a situation from another person’s point of view
- accepts that others have different perspectives
Upcoming Events and Activities
Catholic Schools Week
In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, students are asked to bring in a non-perishable item for Fr. Rossi's food bank on Thursday, Feb. 5. Thank you for your generous support.

St. Michael's AGM
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 7 PM. Please note attendance for every family is mandatory and a requirement of our Parent Participation Program. Only one family member needs to be in attendance.
Re-registration packages and 2025 tax receipts will be distributed at the meeting.
Childcare will be available at the school for those families who may need it to attend.
Student Led Conferences
As part of St. Michael's ongoing efforts to keep you informed of your child's learning experiences, we have scheduled time for our students to share their hard work with their parents in the classroom.
These Student-Led Conferences will take place on Wednesday, February 11th between the hours of 11 AM and 7 PM. There will be no regular classes that day as teachers will be facilitating the conferences.
Students are to attend their conference, wearing their school uniform at their scheduled time. Each conference will take approximately 25 minutes. We are using an online scheduling system to set up appointment times.
Online Scheduling
Opens Sunday, January 25th at 9 PM
Closes Wednesday, February 4th at 10 PM
If you do not schedule an appointment, teachers will allocate time for you from their remaining time slots. Please click the link below to access the appointment website once scheduling opens.
Our Scholastic Book Fair will once again be open in the gym during Student-Led Conferences.
Event Information
Tuesday February 17th is Shrove Tuesday. The students will be given a special pancake treat prepared by our Parent's Association. Please note that to accommodate all of the students, the pancakes will be distributed throughout the morning. Students should, therefore, still have breakfast and bring a snack and lunch to school.
Please note there is no hot lunch on this day.
If you have any allergen concerns, please reach out to Ms. Alberti for ingredient information by February 5th.
