KAES Keenections

Students shared the big challenges we may face as we grow. Challenges of injustice, fear, doubt, isolation, and temptation. Then students had the opportunity to bowl down these challenges we face.

Next week we will have our Fall Week of Worship. We will focus on this year's spiritual theme: Rooted, becoming rooted in God’s word. Each day one of Keene Church's pastors will speak with us about aspects of being Rooted in God's word.

Encourage your child to stay healthy and well. One of the best ways to keep children healthy is through thorough and often hand washing. Teachers are helping teach the best ways to wash hands and providing students with time throughout the day to wash hands. This can really keep sickness from spreading.

Please remember to keep your child at home if they show signs of sickness. It will help keep sickness from spreading throughout the school. If students have a fever they should stay home until they have had 24 hours without the fever.

Junior High soccer tryouts will be on Monday, Aug. 26 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Due to the heat, practice will be in the gym and on the field. No cleats will be allowed.

Lunch order is to be placed with the homeroom teacher each day.
