Greetings Longhorn Staff and Families,

We made it through the first week of the 24-25 school year. There is so much to be grateful for! We have new opportunities to engage with families and our scholars, develop new partnerships with the community and increase our own professional capacity as teachers and leaders. This year we are tapping in with #3TheHardWay. In year 3, we will do hard things! I know that this team of teachers, leaders, and staff are more than capable of transforming academic progress and partnerships for our exceptional scholars.

In the 23-24 school year, our continuing adult students moved to Hilltop Academy with the general education peers. This school year, thanks to a grant from Trinity Church, our Adult students will continue their expansion of the SHIFT 18+ with the renovation of a portable on campus. This portable will serve dual roles to support their efforts to develop independent living and vocational skills for their success beyond the school setting. We look forward to our "Move In" Event, and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in the weeks to come.
