On Wednesday, Brookview had the incredible honor of welcoming author Derek Francis and the two women whose childhood experiences are featured in Our First Bus Ride.
The visit took place on the 55th anniversary of the first bus ride that integrated students from Hale and Field Elementary schools in 1971. Our students had the opportunity to hear directly from those who lived this important moment in history.
With 32 languages spoken across our Brookview community, the experience was a meaningful celebration of diversity, belonging, and the message that everyone belongs. Thank you to our students for their incredible engagement, thoughtful questions, and the curiosity they brought to this special experience!
Mark your calendar for this FREE, family-friendly event on Friday, Sept. 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stillwater Area High School. All ages are invited to join us for traditional carnival games and activities, prizes, inflatables, and food trucks just before the football game.

PTA Meeting
Our next PTA Meeting is Tuesday, September 8 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center. This is a great opportunity to hear updates, share ideas and get involved. All families are welcome to join!
Culver's Night
Our next Culver's Night is Tuesday, September 22 from 5 - 7 p.m. Stop-in, drive thru or order out. A portion of the proceeds will benefit First Grade. Come and enjoy a night out and take a night off from cooking.
