A Fantastic Start to the School Year! 🎉
Dear FJHS Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to share that the school year is off to an outstanding start! From the very first day, the energy and excitement throughout our hallways have been truly inspiring. Your children have arrived ready to learn, connect, and grow—and we couldn’t be more proud.
Here are just a few highlights from the first few weeks:
Positive Classroom Communities: Teachers and students have already begun building strong, respectful relationships that lay the foundation for a year of collaboration and trust with our Capturing Kids Heart’s(CKH) processes and procedures. Morning procedures, team-building activities, and classroom routines have helped create welcoming and inclusive environments.
Engaged Learners: We’ve seen incredible curiosity and participation across all grade levels. Whether it’s diving into a new unit or activity, solving real-world math problems, or exploring science experiments, students are already demonstrating a love of learning and a willingness to challenge themselves.
Strong Attendance and Punctuality: Thank you for helping your children arrive on time and ready to learn each day. Consistent attendance sets the tone for academic success, and your partnership in this makes a real difference.
Parent Involvement: From PTSO volunteer sign-ups, your support and enthusiasm have been amazing. We still have some positions to fill, so if you are interested, please email me at tmorris@farmcards.org. We're grateful to have such a strong, engaged parent community.
Smiles and School Spirit: Whether it’s seeing students greet each other in the mornings, cheering each other on during lunch or celebrating small victories in the classroom, the school spirit is alive and well!
Be on the look out for some positive comments about your students because we have a new program called Minga, and it is a new Campus Management Platform designed to enhance school operations by providing tools for communication(teacher to student, teacher to parent), student engagement, and campus security in one unified application. For more information, see this link Get to Know Minga - Introduction For Families.
We’re excited about all the learning, growth, and memories ahead and want to share these with all of you. Thank you for entrusting us with your children. Together, we’re creating a positive, nurturing environment where every student can thrive. If you have any questions or ideas to share, our doors are always open. Here’s to an incredible school year!
Warm Regards,
Dr. Teri Morris

Exciting News – Join Our Farmington Composite NICA Mountain Bike Team!
Dear Cardinal Fam,
We’re thrilled to share that Farmington now has an official NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) Mountain Bike Team! This program is designed to get students outside, active, and engaged in a lifelong sport that promotes teamwork, confidence, and resilience.
The team is open to students of all skill levels—from beginners who just enjoy riding bikes to more experienced riders looking for competition. Practices and events focus on skill-building, fitness, and having fun in a safe, supportive environment.
We would love your support in helping spread the word to students who might be interested in joining. If you ride yourself, we’d also welcome faculty involvement as volunteers, ride leaders, or simply enthusiastic cheerleaders for our riders!
Ways you can help:
Share the opportunity with your students and encourage them to give it a try.
Join us on rides as a faculty supporter (no racing required!).
Help us build a strong community around our team.
This is an exciting new adventure for our community and we’re eager to see how it grows with your encouragement. If you or your students would like more information, please reach out to Staci Selmon sselmon@farmcards.org or visit www.arkansasmtb.org.
Thank you for supporting our riders and helping us launch this new chapter for our Farmington community.
