Our Annual Halloween Parade is taking place on Tuesday, October 31 on the Walteria Blacktop, beginning at 9:30a.m. Doors will open at approximately 9:15 a.m. for parents to attend. Here are the details to attend:
Parents attending the parade do not need to check in through the office. Gates will be opened around 9:15 and parents may enter. Parents must leave school grounds directly after the parade.
Parents remaining after the parade who were already invited by the teacher to volunteer in classrooms must check in at the main office, present a state issued Identification, and get cleared by Raptor. If their volunteering is a "1 and done" (ie.: you are only planning on attending this one volunteer opportunity) you do not need to have TUSD volunteer clearance (ie.: TB Test). However, it is mandatory for all volunteers to present their state ID to the main office for Raptor Clearance. No exceptions can be made to this.
The office staff has requested your assistance. If you have been invited by your child's teacher to vlunteer after the parade, we are anticipating long lines at the office for Raptor clearance. To mitigate this, it is strongly advised for parents to come to the Walteria office anytime between now and Tuesday to get "pre-raptored" to avoid having to wait in a long line on October 31.

October 27 is our Fall Carnival from 6-8 pm. Tickets will not be sold at the door. If you are an adult volunteer working trunk or treat, please stop by the office this week to pick up your volunteer wrist band. October 27 is also the last day to buy spirit wear. Join us October 31 at 9:15 am for the Halloween Parade on the basketball courts. Save the date for movie night on Friday, November 17. This is also the last week to donate to the InvestED in Walteria campaign! Help us meet our goal.
