A Note from the Principal
Week 3, Day 10/180
On Friday, Mrs. Rajan led the elementary school in our first Spirit Day assembly of the year. Surrounded by blue and gold, RAD shirts, and headbands, she revealed our One Word for the year: ELEVATE. This theme reminds us that while traditions, expectations, routines, and practices are well established, our goal is to continually raise them higher. Students heard this message clearly through her words, videos, and their own voices.
Tomorrow, Mrs. Scott will lead the first middle school meeting, where the theme will also be introduced. Unlike elementary assemblies, middle school meetings involve students, staff, and even Professor Bluebeard leading the way. The meeting will also highlight our after school offerings, with details shared again during next week’s Open Houses.
Our Pirate Ship set sail for the year with preschool starting this week. We also celebrated our summer readers with extra recess, pizza parties, therapy dogs, skateboarding, and more, recognizing their hard work and dedication.
Do not forget, tomorrow is picture day.
Bus challenges continue due to staffing shortages at the bus company. We are exploring all options and will keep families updated until the situation improves.
Finally, please join us for our upcoming Open Houses. Middle school families are invited on Tuesday, September 17 at 5:30, and elementary families on Wednesday, September 18 at 5:30. Both events are wonderful opportunities to connect with staff and learn more about the year ahead.
