American Education Week

  • All visitors must follow the Raptor System procedures. Please follow the procedures outlined in the Raptor System section below.
  • For planning purposes and the ability to pre-print Raptor System labels for those in our database, please complete the RSVP form linked below by Sunday, November 12th. **Please complete one form for each child at Evergreen.**
  • All visitors must have their ID with them on Wednesday, November 15th to participate in the classroom visits.
  • For the safety and security of our building, we welcome our parents/guardians only. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate younger siblings. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding with these safety and security procedures.

Raptor System Registration

As part of our safety and security procedures, ALL visitors to our schools are expected to have their license scanned by the Raptor System upon entrance and before moving through the building.

We have developed a plan that will allow for efficiency and to permit for the optimum amount of time for visitors to spend in the classrooms:

  • If you have already scanned your license in our Raptor System this school year AND you complete the RSVP form linked above, we will have your ID sticker preprinted for you when you arrive on November 15th. You may enter through the main lobby entrance and show your ID at the tables in the lobby.
  • If you have NOT scanned your license yet this year and are planning on attending on November 15th, you are invited to stop by Evergreen to get your information into the database. You can come to the main office entrance of Evergreen on Monday, 11/6, Wednesday, 11/8, or Thursday, 11/9 between the hours of 9:00-11:00 or 12:30-3:30 to scan your license. If you do this AND complete the RSVP for linked above, we will have your ID sticker preprinted for you when you arrive on November 15th. You may enter through the main lobby entrance and show your ID at the tables in the lobby.

Please know it is not mandatory that you come into school next week to have your license scanned, but we are encouraging you to do so (if you have not already scanned in using the Raptor System this year). Otherwise, you will be obligated to scan your license in the Raptor System upon arrival on November 15th which could take time away from your classroom visit. You will need to enter through the main office entrance rather than the main school entrance.

PLEASE NOTE: Regardless if you have registered through the Raptor System previously or not you must show your ID when you arrive to school. Thank you!

Any Questions? Please contact the Evergreen Main Office at 610-409-9751.

K-2 STAR Early Literacy Assessments by Renaissance

The STAR Early Literacy Assessments by Renaissance, STAR Reading and STAR Math, are comprehensive literacy and math universal screeners that are computer adaptive. These assessments will provide teachers with current, reliable and valid data quickly so they can target instruction, monitor progress, provide students with instructional materials, and intervene and enrich where needed. Assessments will occur 2-3 times during the school year for students in grades K-2 in both reading and math. The first assessment will be completed for the K-2 students by November 10, 2023. Student reports will be provided to families at a later date.

2023 Winterfest Door Decorating Sign-Up

We are very excited for the 2023 Evergreen Winterfest Door Decorating. Please see all the information below before signing up.

  • Please remember to keep the doors winter themed and not themed for Santa or any religious holidays.
  • You can start decorating your doors on November 17th through November 20th and the final days to finish the doors will be November 27th, 28th, and 29th.
  • There is paper in the workroom you can use to put on the door. You will be responsible for any other supplies. For security reasons do not cover all the windows and the lock on the door. There must be one viewing point for the teacher.
  • You must be at the school between 3:30- 4PM to get in and decorate your door. If you cannot be there before that time, then try and arrange it with your door decorating partner or a friend who might be able to let you in.
  • We prefer kids to not come into the school while the door decorating is going on, but we understand it does happen. If they are there, they CAN NOT enter any classrooms or wander around the halls. They must stay with you the whole time.

School Safety Drills

Ensuring the safety for our students, staff, and visitors is a top priority.

It is important that students learn how to be safe. During November we continue to review and practice our drills. This month we will have a fire drill as well as practice our run/hide lockdown drill. Student friendly and age-appropriate language is used when reviewing our drills and reflecting upon them when they conclude.

For more information about our emergency preparedness, please visit https://iloveuguys.org/The-Standard-Response-Protocol.html

Our Lost & Found Is Growing!!

As students are beginning to wear sweatshirts and coats, our Lost & Found area is certainly expanding.

Please remind students to take a look in the area if they have lost an item. We will also have items readily available for parents to look through during conferences in the lobby.

Labeling all items, including water bottles, helps us to return items quickly to a student when they have been forgotten in the building or on the bus.
