Message From Interim Superintendent- Amanda Norman
Boozhoo gakina awiya!
On September 1st, I began serving as interim superintendent and am honored to help lead our district for the 2026–27 school year. I am looking forward to providing Indigenous leadership districtwide. While I miss my PK–2 community, it has been an awesome experience reconnecting with past students and coworkers while meeting new students and staff.
I love having the opportunity to join Opening at the secondary complex on Tuesday mornings. I also have enjoyed cheering on our Ogichidaag/Ogichidaakwe football and volleyball teams!
For the month of Waatebagaa-giizis, we focused on reviewing the Seven Teachings as a school community. It has been meaningful to see our Teachings continue to guide and strengthen our school community.
September is also Minnesota School Board Recognition Month. I am thankful for our school board members, their leadership, years of service, and commitment to our school community. Aapiji go miigwech for all that you do!
I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the Red Lake School District as interim superintendent for the 2026–27 school year. We truly have the BEST school community!
Zhawenimigoom omaa! We love you here! ❤️
