May is Mental Health Awareness Month

This year’s theme — More Good Days, Together — encourages us all to reflect on what a “good” day looks like, both for ourselves and for our communities. Together, we can use that insight to connect people to the right support at the right time, and shape advocacy, education, and community engagement to make more good days possible for all. Here's to More Good Days!💚

Please check out the resources linked here to incorporate Mental Health Awareness Month activities into your work, with each other, or for yourself.

Gardener's of Knowledge

Spring is here and our students have been busy with planting seedings, working the Community Garden and discovering Hydroponics. A special thank to Ms. Hernandez, Ms. Thomas and Homewood Center community partners for creating engaging enrichment opportunities for students. One example is the Hudroponic System recently donated to Homewood Center. GrowHoward County Food Council is working with a few Elementary, Middle and High Schools to set up Hydroponic Systems as a way to engage students in growing fruits and vegetables. This project is a collaboration between the Howard County Health Department and the University of Maryland Extension – Howard County (UME – HC).
