Good morning, Eagle Families!

Despite last week's unplanned snow days, our campus is alive with energy and enthusiasm! Our hallways are once again filled with laughter, engaging discussions, and the unmistakable buzz of active learning. Walking through classrooms this week, I've been impressed by how seamlessly our students and teachers have jumped right back into the swing of the semester!

Our teachers continue to inspire me daily with their dedication and creativity, and our students' eagerness to learn is contagious. From Winter MAP testing in core content classes to engaging classroom activities across all subjects, the level of engagement I'm seeing is remarkable. These moments remind me of what makes our Eagle community truly special.

Parents can view their student's school portrait through our yearbook website linked here. Portrait checks deadline will be January 22, 2025. Students have had the opportunity to check their own school photo this week during Nest Time 1/16/24.

We had a great time visiting with 8th grade ELAR classes this week to hand out course selection forms (they are bright green)! Students will need to select their courses for 9th grade in both Skyward and on their Course Selection Sheet. The PHS counselors will be visiting ELAR classes to confirm skyward, answer student questions, and collect green course selection sheets on Jan. 22nd and 24th. There is a special Coffee with the PHS Counselors at 9am in the Reynolds Library on January 23rd for any parents of 8th grade students with questions! You can also reach out to your child's Reynolds counselor! Skyward will officially close for course selection on Jan. 29th, so please make sure to complete this important step with your student.

6th and 7th grade Course Selection for next year will begin in February - stay tuned for more details!

The GT Referral Window for grades K - 11 will close at 4pm Jan 17, 2025. A full description of gifted services and the process to qualify may be found on the Gifted & Talented page on the district website. If your child demonstrates advanced cognitive ability compared to their age peers, you may submit a referral that will allow the district to review necessary student data to make placement decisions for the upcoming school year. The referral link may be accessed through the district website.
