📢A Message from the Director📢
Dear PCPELP Families,
As we welcome the month of September, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for being such an important part of our family. The school year is off to a wonderful start, and it has been a joy to see our classrooms filled with smiling faces, learning, and growth. September is a time to settle into routines, build strong relationships, and continue laying the foundation for a successful year. We encourage you to stay involved in your child's education by talking with them about their day, reading together, and participating in school activities whenever possible. Thank you for your partnership, support, and trust. Together, we are creating a nurturing environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive. Wishing you and your family a wonderful month!
Early Learning Class Spotlight💫
Mrs. Bautista & Mrs. Little's Class
This month, our scholars are exploring the exciting theme of Trees while continuing to build important classroom routines that support a successful learning environment. A major focus has been developing critical fine motor skills through hands-on activities such as tearing, peeling, lacing, and coloring. These experiences help strengthen the small muscles in their hands, preparing them for future writing and self-help skills.
As part of our Trees unit, scholars completed a special Family Tree Project at home with their families. Each child created a family tree representing the important people in their lives and then proudly presented it to their classmates. 🌳❤️
This meaningful activity helped our scholars build confidence, strengthen their language and communication skills, and support their social-emotional growth as they shared about their families and learned about the families of their friends. We are so proud of the wonderful presentations and grateful for the family involvement that made this project such a success! ✨👏👨👩👧👦
Ms. Waller & Mrs. Roberts' Class
This week, we explored the exciting topic of People and Their Homes! Children learned that people live in many different types of homes and that houses in cities, towns, and the countryside can look very different from one another. We discussed how communities are unique and how our homes help keep us safe and comfortable.
During center time, our little architects put their creativity to work by designing and building the homes of their dreams! 🏠✨ They used a variety of materials to create unique houses and proudly shared what made their homes special. It was wonderful to see their imaginations shine as they connected our classroom discussions to hands-on learning experiences.
🥳Early Learning Happenings and Celebrations🥳
Grandparents Day Was A Huge Success!
Grandparents Day was a truly special celebration at our school, filled with smiles, laughter, and treasured moments. Our students were delighted to welcome their grandparents into their learning environment, and we were thrilled by the wonderful turnout.
From classroom visits and fun activities shared together, the day highlighted the important role grandparents play in supporting and nurturing our children’s growth. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and helped make this event so memorable. Your support and involvement mean so much to our Early Learning Program. Together, let’s continue to celebrate the strong connections between family, school, and community throughout the year! ❤️🏫👵👴
🧡 A Special Gift Through Project Linus 🧡
Our students recently received beautiful handmade blankets through Project Linus, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comfort, warmth, and a sense of security to children in need. Each blanket was lovingly created and donated by caring volunteers to help children feel safe, supported, and valued. We are grateful to Project Linus for sharing their kindness with our students and reminding them that they are loved by a community that cares. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making this special gift possible! 💙🧸✨
