Attendance Awareness Attendance Awareness

September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Every school day matters! Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their learning, build strong academic habits, and make steady progress toward their goals. When students are at school, they have more opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with their teachers and friends. Let’s make every day count—Be Here. Be Ready. Belong!

Visitors at Parmley

Our top priority is keeping your child safe while at school. To help with this, here are the procedures for entering the front office:

  • All campus doors stay locked at all times.

  • To come inside, please ring the doorbell located on the right side of the front center doors.

  • When a staff member answers, they will ask the reason for your visit and request that you show your valid ID to the camera.

  • After your information is verified, you will be buzzed into the front vestibule.

  • Please do not hold the door open for anyone else. Everyone must follow these same steps.

  • Once inside, please check in at a Raptor Kiosk or with our friendly front office staff.

Thank you for helping us keep Parmley safe!

Raptor Safe App

We are excited to announce that WISD has adopted the Raptor Safe mobile app as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing school safety and streamlining visitor management in our schools. This app builds on our existing visitor procedures, offering a more convenient and secure check-in process for everyone.

What is the Raptor Safe App?

The Raptor Safe app offers a convenient and secure way for visitors to manage and verify their identity before arriving at a school. With the Raptor Passport feature, visitors can pre-verify their identity, allowing for a seamless sign-in process when they arrive on campus.

How Does It Work?

When visiting a school, visitors can use their secure QR code generated by the app to expedite the check-in process. QR codes automatically regenerate every 5 minutes to ensure security and prevent misuse.

Getting Started

The Raptor Safe app is available to all visitors across the district. To download the app, please visit

https://raptortech.com/raptorsafe-app/.

For questions or assistance, please contact us at 936-856-1231. Thank you for helping us keep our schools safe.

Campus Volunteers

If you are interested in volunteering at Parmley, you must complete the WISD background check annually! Please complete through the button below!

(Use the web browser Google Chrome when applying. Click the word Volunteer Application Link above to register).

  • Each person shall be approved by the office of Human Resources prior to volunteering at a school building, event, field trip or any related WISD activity.
  • Observation students will follow the same process of approval as volunteers.
  • Volunteers must fill out a volunteer application online. When applying, be sure to indicate every campus you are interested in volunteering at.
  • In accordance with the Texas Education Code, Section 22.083, Willis ISD may obtain criminal history record information on an individual who has indicated, in writing, an intention to serve as a volunteer. By submitting the volunteer application, you give WISD written consent to run a criminal history check using your name and other identifiers. The information obtained is strictly confidential and will be processed through the Willis ISD Human Resources Office.
  • Campus principals and their designated campus volunteer coordinator will be notified of approved volunteers.
  • Volunteers must receive approval each school year.
  • The last day to submit a volunteer/observation application will be April 30th of the current school year.
  • You can check your volunteer status by logging back into the volunteer/observation application. You will not receive any written notification.

Note: Due to the high volume of approvals, WISD suggests applications be turned in two weeks prior to the event at which you want to volunteer.

🚌Transportation Changes & Early Pick Ups🚗

Please email all transportation changes to parmleytransportation@willisisd.org by 2:15 p.m. so we can keep everything organized in the office. Let us notify the teacher for you—this helps us make sure everyone gets where they need to go safely. No early pick-ups after 2:45 p.m., as we need time to prepare for dismissal.

🎊Student Birthdays🎈

We love making our students feel special on their birthdays! Our staff celebrates each student's big day, and we want to make sure it's fun, safe, and easy for everyone.

If you'd like to send a birthday treat for your child's class, please send a store-bought treat. Some examples include individually packaged snacks, cupcakes, donuts, or other similar treats. All birthday treats must be store bought and in their original packaging.

To help protect instructional time, teachers will distribute birthday treats at the end of the school day for students to enjoy before dismissal.

Families are welcome to drop off birthday treats in the front office for delivery to the classroom. To help maintain a safe learning environment and minimize classroom interruptions, birthday celebrations will take place without classroom visitors.

To keep celebrations simple and focused on our students, please do not send balloons, gift bags, party favors, or other decorations.

Thank you for helping us make birthdays a special celebration for every Wildkat! 🎉

📅SchoolPay💲

Skip sending cash with your child! You can pay for most school expenses at schoolpay.com or through the SchoolPay Payment Center app.

  • You may return after changing clothing if attire was the concern.

  • Repeated use of tobacco products (including vaping or chewing tobacco) on school property can result in permanent removal from campus.

Anonymous Alerts🚨

The mobile app and Web-based reporting system provides secure 1-way or 2-way encrypted messages. All reports remain completely anonymous by default, or you can ask administrators to contact you. Visit the website HERE or click on the graphic above. The app is a red icon and the Activation Code is "WillisISD".
