OPEN HOUSE IS THIS WEEK!!!
All registered students and their parent/guardian are invited to attend our Open House. Please enter at the front of the building through Door 36 which is east of the main office by the gym. At the Open House, students will receive:
- Class schedule
- Bus Pass
- After School Programing Information by the YMCA
- Resources and library card from the Joliet Public Library
- Music program information from the Music Parent Association
- Attendance Matters from the Attendance Committee
- 6th Grade Presentation at 5:30 PM in the Auditorium
- and much more!!!
IMPORTANT NOTICES!!!
- If your student is NOT registered, please call our office at 815.727.5276 immediately so we can assist you and have everything ready for your student to attend the Open House and be able to start on the first day of school. Students not registered will not be able to start school until registration is complete.
- Lockers will NOT be available until the first day of school. Please bring school supplies to place in lockers on Wednesday, 8.21.24, on the first day of school.
Let's get 2024-2025 started
We are thrilled to have all our students back to start the school year. Below are a few items for you to be aware of:
- Student must be registered to attend.
- The first day of school is Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
- Arrival time is 7:25 to 7:35
- Bus drop off is at the front of the building.
- Car drop off is at Briggs for all grades
- Walkers report to grade level assigned areas: 6th grade report to the 6th grade hallway, 7th grade report to the breezeway, and 8th grade reports to Front of school sidewalk.
- Breakfast is served at 7:25-7:40
- Classes begin at 7:45
- School dismissal is at 2:35
- Buses will load and dismiss at the front of the school
- Parent pick-up is off of Briggs and Copperfield. Cars will not be allowed into the front of the school until all the busses have exited.
Attendance matters and getting students started on the right foot is critical to fostering a successful school year. Every effort to arrive on time and present daily will provide your student with the best educational outcomes. We can't wait to see you on Wednesday!
Backpack & String bag
While students are welcome to use a backpack, bags, and purses to and from school, these items are not allowed in the classroom during the day. Students are encouraged to carry their Chromebook in the carrier and the supplies they need for just a few classes. Students also have the option to use a small and light string bag for a few supplies. Please consider this option during your last minute back to school purchases.
