Call for Wellness Day Volunteers
The Tappan P2P group and Counseling Department are looking for volunteers for our Wellness Day on May 8th. We are looking for folks willing to present a 20-30 minute workshop 4-6 times at most (hopefully less). Presentations can be about what you do for a job, how it affects your mental health, how you chose your profession, hobbies you like to do to help your mental health, or anything you would like to talk to students about with a focus on mental health and wellness.
If you're affiliated with an organization, you could discuss the programs and services they offer, or could present information they believe is important for middle school students. You could also run a class or a demonstration. Anything that can somehow link back to keeping ourselves mentally and physically well. We will provide lunch and a small gift for your participation. Our event will run 10:30-3:30, but we are hopeful to not need presenters to present for the entire time. If you'd like to participate, please fill out our volunteer form.
Reach out to Meagan Hudson 734-994-2011 ext 35214 with questions.
Supporting Student Mental and Emotional Health
Last week, our students enjoyed an extended advisory hour where they got to play games, create with crafts, and hang out with one another! It was the perfect day to support mental health and nourish friendships. Thank you to Dr. Parnell and her staff on recognizing the importance of togetherness and supporting our students mental and emotional health!
