Greetings from the Principal
Greetings Heartland Families!
It is hard to believe that it is the Thanksgiving break! This year is going by soooo fast! We would like to take this time to say THANK YOU for all the support you give our students and our school. Our success would not be evident without our awesome parents!
Last week we got to enjoy our family feast with our Tuesday/Thursday preschool classes, second grade and fourth grade classes. Our next family feast will be Wednesday, December 17th and will include our Monday/Wednesday preschool classes, first grade and fifth grade. Information about this family feast will be sent home when we return from the Thanksgiving holiday break.
Tomorrow, students will get to go to the Bulldog Store and exchange their behavior points in for prizes.
Tuesday is the day we reward our 4th and 5th grade students for their efforts on last year's KSA test with a trip to Malibu Jack's. Not only will they go to Malibu Jacks in the morning, they will also get to enjoy time on some bounce houses that we have rented for the whole school to enjoy. The bounce houses and trip to Malibu Jacks could not have happened without the financial assistance from our PTO. Thank you PTO for always putting our students first and making sure we can celebrate their success.
Midterms were sent home last week. If you have any concerns about your child's progress, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. In addition, NTI packets went home last week as well. Please place the NTI packets in a safe place in the event we do end up having to go on NTI for weather or other circumstances.
Please make sure if your student is dropped off in the morning that they are in their classroom by 7:30AM. If your child is dropped off in the morning and they like to get breakfast, please remind them to get breakfast and go straight to class before the 2nd bell. Anything after the second bell/7:30AM will be counted tardy. This policy is listed in our student handbook which can be found at the link at the end of this newsletter.
