Sachse Mustang Band UPDATES

March 2025 and END of YEAR

Sachse MustangBand UPDATESMarch 2025 and END of YEAR

SPRING BREAK

This semester is flying by, but off to a great first half! I can't believe that we only have one more semester before the end of the year, but that also means we have plenty of work to do to be ready for Pre-UIL, UIL, EOY Recordings and Band Banquet will be here before you know it. Drum Major clinics will be starting earlier than they have in the past to give you more time to get comfortable with that new skill if you think you may be interested in that role; make sure you've checked the calendar and have important dates noted. Movement camps and leadership interest meeting will also be starting soon and Auditions/ registration for next year will be coming up before you can blink!

Event Information

MATTRESS Fundraiser

Students will sign up in classes on Monday to help/ volunteer at this event. If you don't have 10 people you've invited to the event, get that set up in the app so we can make this a great event! Parents we need your help as well to get the word out, post on social media, send some text messages to invite people that may be looking to buy a mattress. Parent volunteers will also be needed throughout the day, so please sign up for to help with this event.

BAND FEES (READ and make sure fees are up to date)

This year's skyward fees have been added. All students should have ALL band fees paid at this time. This means that CHARMS/ now Cuttime Fees AND SKYWARD fees should have already been paid in full. At this time any student with outstanding fees has been added to the school's LOP.

GETTING OFF OF LOP: This is not a quick process, so please follow ALL Instructions below

1) Make sure that balances in both Cuttime and CHARMS are paid in full

2) E-mail Mrs. Taylor, Mr. Ryan, Mr. Nguyen, and Mr. Tucker that all fees are paid in full. E-mailing the entire staff will help us be able to check and remove students from LOP faster.

We do not get auto notification when fees get paid therefor need you to communicate when they are taken care of so we can remove your student from the LOP list.

AWARD Letter Jackets

The point system for Letter Jackets awarded has been adjusted and can be accessed by the link button just below. If you are ending your Junior year, there is no need to fill out the points part of the application, just sign and turn in the Senior Commitment form (page 3). If you have earned enough points at the time you will turn them in to get your letter jacket early, fill out and return the form.

ALL Letter Jacket Forms will go to Mr. Nguyen and must be turned in by April 4, 2025 to be considered for the spring fitting. AFTER you turn in this form, it will take a couple of weeks before you receive a packet from Lauren Ellis and it will have all instructions for the fitting with a SPECIFIC date and time that you will be fitted. You will need to fill out the order form and bring payment the day of the fitting for any added things to your jacket that you would like to purchase. Band Directors cannot answer questions about the letter jacket ordering, those need to be directed to the company information that Mrs. Ellis provides you.

PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME SCHEDULED. IF YOU ARE SICK THAT DAY, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE FALL TO BE FITTED AND IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET ORDERS IN.

ITINERARIES 24-25

The button below will take you to a sheet that will have all Itineraries for the year. If the tab is blacked out, we don't have information yet to update that schedule. We will estimate times if possible, but be aware they may be adjusted slightly, but that should give you an idea of at least the range of time things will be on those days. Pre-UIL itineraries have been updated.

End of Year

Keep looking forward by checking the band calendar for upcoming events, the end of year gets very busy very quickly and you don't want to miss anything!

Eligibility

Eligibility will be based on the end of GP 3 and we will be talking to individuals affected after we return and get that checked.
