Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
A few quick reminders to help keep our car rider line safe and moving efficiently:
Pull all the way forward in the car rider line. Please don’t stop early to let your child in or out.
Please remain in your vehicle. If your child needs assistance getting out of the car, please park in the parking lot and walk with your child across the raised crosswalk area.
If your car stops along the pool sidewalk, please have your child exit there. There is no need to wait until you reach the front of the line.
Please follow the directions of our staff members on duty. They are working hard to keep traffic moving and, most importantly, keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these very busy parts of our school day. When everyone follows the same procedures, arrival and dismissal are safer and smoother for everyone!
Kindergarten Playground Dismissal
Now that we’re in the groove of the school year, we wanted to send a quick reminder about our kindergarten playground dismissal procedures:
Parents and caregivers: Please wait for your child outside of the white playground fence. This helps our staff safely and efficiently dismiss each student.
Playground use: Our playground is closed to the community after school until 6:00 p.m. because it is used by our School-Aged Child Care program.
Thank you for helping us keep kindergarten dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient for everyone!
November Counselor Corner
We love having the opportunity to teach in every classroom each month!
🍎 September
In September, we discussed how students can "Be the One" this school year—someone who is helpful, inviting, respectful, and on TRACK.
💛 October
In October, we focused on understanding our feelings: naming emotions, recognizing how they feel in our bodies, and discovering strategies for handling big feelings. We always encourage students to share these big feelings with trusted adults at home.
🤝 November
In November, we will be discussing conflict resolution strategies. Everyday situations can require problem-solving—whether friends disagree on what game to play, someone hesitates to share school supplies, or rules aren't being followed.
We will teach a simple four-step strategy to help students navigate these moments:
1. Stop: Check in with your body.
2. Think: Identify the problem.
3. Talk: Express yourself using an "I" message.
4. Solve: Work together to find a fair solution.
Coming Up!
We will also continue meeting with our kindergarten and first-grade students in small groups, and our ROX program for fifth-grade girls will be kicking off soon!
Be Well,

Artist Visit-November 9
We are excited to welcome New York City Pop Artist and Author Michael Albert to Tremont on November 9th.
Albert's use of recycled cereal boxes and other consumer packaging is bold, colorful and sustainable, creating art that he has named "Cerealism".
Students will hear Mr. Albert speak, and then work during their art class to create their own "pop art". Each class will be collaborating with the artist on a whole school 75th Anniversary art piece, "75 words for 75 years of Tremont".
To prepare, please encourage your students to bring in their empty packaging from cereal boxes and the like (collapsed) and put them in the donation boxes located outside of Mrs. Masters' art room and in the main lobby of our school.
A very big THANK YOU to the Upper Arlington Education Foundation for making this visit possible!
If you would like to explore more about the artist and his work, please visit his website:

FROM THE DISTRICT
Do you have questions about Issue 7?
As we approach Election Day, UA Schools wants to ensure our community has access to clear, factual information about Issue 7, the combined operating levy and bond issue on the November ballot. The school district’s role in this election is to share the facts, answer questions and help residents understand what is being proposed.
To help with that, we have put together a video version of the Issue 7 presentation that we have been sharing out in the community. The video provides an overview of the proposed issue and offers answers to common questions, with bookmarks to help you navigate directly to the topics most relevant to you.
To find additional factual information and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit the district website, www.uaschools.org/issue7.
