A short message from Mr. Schulte
Wow! It has been an interesting start to the second semester with the weather and snow days!
I was reminded of the importance of valuing family the week of the Archie Tournament as my three children, Jordan, Jackson, and Jaden along with my grandson, Wells made the trip from Wichita to Archie to surprise me. They came to support the Whirlwinds in the semifinals and watch me coach. Unfortunately we lost the game, but seeing them always puts things in perspective for me and reminds me of the true values in life!
My family is the cornerstone of my life, my family provides a support system, a sense of belonging, trust, and love. Valuing family is crucial, as they are our constant companions through life's successes and failures. Investing time and effort in growing family bonds allows for a strong foundation for personal growth and the skills required to confront life's challenges. In times of celebration or adversity, the unconditional support of family is a needed as a source of strength and comfort. A strong family creates a sense of identity, reminding us that we are never alone.
I consider the Archie School District and Community as part of my professional family and value the time I have previously spent, the time I am currently spending, and most importantly the relationships I have built with students, teachers, staff, and the community! #ArchieStrong
Archie You Matter Teen Night!!!
Teen Night 2024 is coming together and will be a HUGE event, provided for FREE for all Archie 6th-12th graders!

AMI Day
Hopefully we are finished with this winter weather! However if we do have another AMI Day it is important that students follow the expectations of AMI Days in the handbook. Students may use a Chromebook or cell phone to join a scheduled Google Meets for class instruction. If a student is unable to check-in for some reason they need to email their teacher to check-in and/or get their assignment. This helps us in tracking for those AMI Days. Students are responsible for any assignment given during an AMI Day. Any assignments not turned in for AMI Days will result in a zero.

FAFSA Update-
As you know, there have been updates to FAFSA® which are supposed to make the process easier and more streamlined. Schools are being told by FAFSA Completion Student Support Consultants that the site is down frequently and under maintenance often. Because of this, most colleges and scholarship foundations are delaying deadlines that require FAFSA completion.
Personnel from the Missouri College & Career Attainment Network are trying to help by hosting FAFSA Virtual Drop-in Sessions to provide you with information and one-on-one assistance. Sessions are every Wednesday from 10am-12pm and 5-7pm. You can access the session using the link below.
http://www.mofafsa.org/fafsazoom
In addition, they are hosting a January FAFSA Frenzy at the UMKC Student Union on Thursday, January 25th, 5:30-7:00 pm to assist with completing the FAFSA forms.
