Five Full Days of Fun
We have successfully completed our first five day week and welcomed our Preschool learners to GES - it was great from start to finish.
Miss Harrington's first graders have been getting creative and building a neighborhood made of blocks. However, they are a little short of furniture and people. If you have any doll house furniture (think beds and chairs), they'll happily accept donations.
Our second graders got back out in the garden to work with the Cornucopia Project on Thursday. It was exciting to see how much the plants have grown and changed since the last official visit in first grade. The students worked in pair to complete a scavenger hunt, looking for evidence of plant health, growth, and insects in the garden beds. They also enjoyed harvesting a few of the vegetables that have grown recently. Check out the photos below of the gardeners in action.
Please remember there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
DISMISSAL REQUEST - We are working to improve efficiency during afternoon dismissal and we need your support. We ask at all cars pull up as close as possible to the car in front. This will allow us to dismiss more students at one time. Mrs. St. Jean and Mrs. Fraley will signal to cars to continue to pull up if there is space, so if you see us waving, keep on moving!
Warm regards,
Nicky Fraley

Hopes, Dreams, and Expectations
GES students and staff have been working hard to establish hopes and dreams for the school year. These goals form the part of the foundation of a successful school year and act as catalysts for conversations about how we will work and learn together as a community. In addition, we have all been discussing and practicing that it looks like and sounds like meet the GES expectations of
