Community Egg Hunt Egg Filler Donations Needed

We are still in need of individually wrapped candy for our upcoming School and Community Egg Hunts. If you'd like to donate, please drop off your donations at the Bartlett High School main office from now until April 10th.

Any student who donates a bag of candy will receive Bartlett Bucks for each bag donated!

Your support will help make this event a sweet success!

Parking

If you were already approved for a parking permit and are registered with the main office, please see Ms. Donnelly on Monday for your new parking pass. You must have the new pass in your vehicle when you arrive on Tuesday morning. The tag must be hung from your rearview mirror moving forward. If you are not already registered with the office, your car cannot be parked on the school property in any of the lots during the school day. District office walked through all of the lots on Friday and there were 33 vehicles that did not have permits (students/staff). If you have the proper tag, then you must park in the student lot only.

Buses

Students must ride the busses that are assigned to them according to where they live. Students will not be allowed onto a bus if it is not their assigned pickup location or their assigned bus. In the afternoon, students MUST board the busses at BHS. If a student goes to WMS to get on the bus, they WILL NOT be allowed onto the bus.

Library Use

The library is closed for use beginning Monday through the move. Books and other materials are now being packed and stored in this space.

Student Food Delivery

This is not allowed under any circumstance. If you have forgotten your lunch, a family member can always bring your lunch to the main office. They must come into the office and bring it to Ms. Donnelly who will hold it until your lunch period. Door Dash and other delivery services will not be allowed into the building moving forward. This is explained in detail in our handbook.

Cell Phones

The use is not allowed in our classrooms from the beginning of the class until the end of the class. There are no exceptions to this. Please look in our handbook for the specific details. Reminder that if you put your phone in the door holder for the class period you will receive Bartlett Bucks each time!

Tardy to School

Our school day begins at 7:30am. This is the time that you need to be in your first period class. Saturday schools will be utilized for continued tardiness to school in the 4th quarter, for every 5 tardies to school, students will receive 1 Saturday School. If you are a sports player or take part in an after school activity, you MUST be here by 8am in order to participate.

Academic Points/Credit Recovery Due to Attendance

Families and students will receive notices of point deductions due to absences quarter 3 in the report card mailing. Email reminders will also be sent out. Please encourage your student to attend the Saturday sessions to earn their points back. One Saturday session can replace up to 3 absences!

Nurses' Office Nurses' Office

Doctor Notes

If your student is absent from school, a doctor's note that states, "the parent contacted our office to inform us their child was ill and did not attend school" is not accepted as an excused absences. These notes, however, will be considered when coding your student as "not truant". If a note has more information such as "based on the symptoms the child is presenting, our office has determined that it can be managed at home and should return to school on______", then the note will be reviewed and most likely be accepted as excused. Any further questions regarding doctor notes should be asked of the nurses' office, kpepin@webster-schools.org.

Grading Policy Grading Policy

Reminder of the Handbook Policy

Loss of Points/Credit due to absences -

5-9 unexcused absences from a class will lose 10 points from their grade in that class for that quarter.

Grade/Credit Recovery Process:

Process 1 - Students can recover those lost points in the following quarter, if and only if, they have no more than 2 unexcused absences from that class during that quarter.

Process 2 (if last quarter of the course) - Students can work to recover lost points as soon as they reach their 5th unexcused absence by attending a 3 hour Saturday School session (up to 3 missed classes per session). Students may attend multiple sessions to recover for multiple courses if needed.

10 or more unexcused absences from a class will result in an automatic attendance failure for the quarter and receive a grade of a 40 (District Minimum Grade).

Grade/Credit Recovery Process:

Students may earn credit back by attending a 3 hour Saturday School session (up to 3 missed classes per session). Students may attend multiple sessions to recover for multiple courses if needed. They must attend enough Saturday School sessions to bring absences below 10 at which point the 10 point deduction will be enforced as noted above.
