Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you’re all finding a way to enjoy this rainy extra day off. Sometimes it’s nice to be forced to just stay in, make some chili, and watch movies with the family.

On Tuesday, we’ll administer the Panorama Survey in the morning. We’ll use the same “HR Buddy” list from our last extended homeroom. You can find that list here: Updated Chapman Schedule/Duty.

With progress reports coming out Friday, I’m sure we’ll have some busy ARBs this week. This is a great time to review interventions for students performing below their potential. Our communication with families has been excellent so far—it really helps when we reach grading periods and need to have those tougher conversations.

We’re now halfway through October, and while we haven’t needed many students to stay after school, we want to make sure that time is productive and reflective. I’m adding a form for “Chapman Community Building Projects.” If you’re open to having students help with things like cleaning desks, organizing, or other community-centered projects in your spaces after school, please fill out the form.

Enjoy the extra day off tomorrow, and I’ll see you all for our short week on Tuesday!
