Read through and complete our online-only Interest Form via Google to let us know what parts you are interested in. This online-only form MUST be submitted by Monday, Dec. 19th.

• There are a variety of parts suited for Trailblazers in Kindergarten-5th grade. Roles are thoughtfully split by grade bands to guide you to the best fit for you.

There’s something for everyone!

• You can audition for a specific character if you want to try out your acting skills. These roles are super fun and some characters also sing solos!

• If you are more comfortable sharing the stage with a group, look for the chorus numbers, which include singing & dancing.

We need lots of Trailblazers to bring these musical numbers to life!

• Select the online form below that matches your grade level to check out the parts available for K-2 Trailblazers & 3rd-5th Trailblazers.

• Each interested Trailblazer should submit ONE online-only interest form via Google.

• If you have more than one Trailblazer in your home interested, please submit a form for each child.

• If you are an interested Kindergartener-2nd grade Trailblazer, use this form to see what roles are available. Make sure you follow the directions carefully.

• If you are an interested 3rd-5th grade Trailblazer, use this form to see what roles are available. Make sure you follow the directions carefully.

Auditions will be held after school in January, our first week back from break.

• Wed., Jan 4th from 4:15-6:00pm for Kindergarten-2nd grade.

• Thurs., Jan 5th, from 4:15-7:00pm for 3rd-5th grade.

• These windows of time are estimates and may need to be extended depending on the number of interest forms submitted by Trailblazers.

• Some students in K-2 auditioning for roles such as Gingy, Dragon, and Teen Fiona may be invited to a callback time on January 5th.

• If needed, callback invites will be given at the end of the initial audition.

• Each interested Trailblazer will get an initial audition time scheduled on the date(s) above. Thank you for your patience while the interest forms are compiled & sorted and a schedule is created. • On Thursday, December 22nd, all audition materials (audition scripts, flipgrid links, dance videos, etc) will be loaded in the online Shrek folder via Google.

• Did you choose an acting role? In the online Shrek folder via Google find the scripts and become familiar with the lines of the characters you indicated interest in on the form. You will run lines with a group at the audition.

• Did you choose a character who also has a vocal solo? If YES, then you MUST submit a video singing audition via Flipgrid (link found in the online Shrek folder) due January 2nd. We will not accept late entries. To be clear, this is required in addition to the upcoming in-person audition in order to be considered.

• Did you choose the chorus part(s) only? You WILL be performing the finale dance combo. The instructional video will be in the online Shrek folder via Google. You will not be running any speaking lines at your audition.

• All Trailblazers who submitted an interest form and want to audition for any part are required to learn the finale dance combo for auditions. The instructional video will be in the online Shrek folder via Google. All students will be asked to perform the dance in groups at their audition.

• Cast List will be posted in the online Shrek folder via Google Friday, January 6th.

• You will be asked to accept or decline your part by Monday, January 9th.

• Permission slips for rehearsal participation will come home the week of January 9th & must be returned in order to attend.

• A detailed Rehearsal Calendar with scenes, dance numbers and characters that will rehearse on each day will be released with the cast list on January 6th in the online Shrek folder via Google.

• We will begin our journey with a cast table-read (after school 4-5:45 pm) & parent meeting (5:45 pm in Launch Pad), Friday, January 13th.

• Rehearsals are Fridays from 4:00-6:00 pm, starting January 20. Not all characters will be required to stay for the full two hours so, be sure to refer to the Rehearsal Calendar in the online Shrek folder.

• It is expected performers attend ALL rehearsals they are included in and these dates should be on your calendar.

• Play performances are Saturday, May 20, 2022 at 2pm and 7pm, at the Bonney Lake High School Performing Arts Center (PAC).

• For the most part, costumes are the responsibility of the performer's family. Costume resources and ideas will be posted in the online Shrek folder with a timeline.

• There will be a REMIND app group for the cast families to join for communication. Information on how to do this can also be found in the online Shrek folder.
