Dear Charger Families,
Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you and your family had a restful and enjoyable holiday break. It’s always a pleasure to start a fresh year, and we’re excited to welcome your children back to school as we embark on the second half of the school year. We have lots of exciting learning ahead, and we look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful and fulfilling winter term for all of our students.
Snow Days and Weather Reminders
Winter weather is officially here, and we want to remind families to stay informed about school closures. Please be sure to check your Remind text messages, our school website, and local news outlets for updates on snow days or weather-related changes. Additionally, please ensure that your child is dressed warmly for outdoor recess as temperatures continue to drop.
End of the Second Quarter & Report Cards
The second quarter of the school year will conclude on Thursday, January 9. This is an important time for students to reflect on their progress and set goals for the remainder of the year. Report cards will be sent home with students on Tuesday, January 21. Please take some time to review the report card with your child, celebrate their successes, and discuss any areas where additional effort may be needed. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we enter this new year, we are focusing on creating a positive, engaging learning environment for all students. We’ll be continuing our efforts to promote academic achievement, social-emotional learning, and a growth mindset across the school. Our staff is committed to supporting each child’s individual needs and helping them develop the skills they need to thrive.
In addition, please mark your calendars for upcoming events in January and February:
- Charger Family Group (CFG) Meeting: Please join us for a parent and staff meeting in the Jefferson library at 6 PM on Thursday, January 23d. We have lots of events coming up and would value your input and support.
- Cupid's Ball: A fun, family-friendly event is scheduled for Thursday, February 13th, complete with games, food, and activities for all ages. Stay tuned for more details.
