The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Students create and submit original works of art in the areas of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts. The 2024- 2025 Reflections theme this year is Accepting Imperfections. Winners from the local level have the opportunity to move up through their district, region, council and state PTA programs to the national level.

Deadline to enter is October 20, 2024

We are getting EXCITED for our 2nd annual Trunk or Treat Celebration!!

The amount of donations and volunteer sign ups have been OUTSTANDING and we are so appreciative of all of the participation we have received from our families so far, truly THANK YOU!

As a reminder, ALL STUDENTS WILL BE INCLUDED as this is all voluntary and not mandatory.

A few more details to go through:

• If you are a TRUNK Volunteer or plan to be a TRUNK volunteer, please be sure to be on campus starting at 7:30 am - ALL vehicles MUST be on campus BY 8:20 am - NO EXCEPTIONS
• Class Volunteers are needed to help decorate the trunks at set-up, help with the game/activity at the trunks, assist with keep students in the designated Trunk or Treat area and with clean up at the end of the event
• The parade will start at about 9:00 am and ALL volunteers should be done with set up and able to watch the parade until it concludes at about 9:15 am or so
• We will distribute ALL treats to the trunks the morning of the celebration, but if you have a game or activity that needs treats for prep (like a punch cup game) please reach out to Rebekah DeBenedictis so she can get those to you beforehand
• Each class should be helping with donations for the trunk decorations as needed, Lead Room Parent's please reach out to your Trunk volunteers to see if they need anything for decorations or the game/activity
• More details will be sent to the volunteers from Rebekah closer to the event

The Arlington PTA is purchasing Halloween bags for the students to use at the Trunk or Treat.

Classrooms only need to worry about providing decorations for their trunks and a game or activity if they have one. The school also has some games we can provide, please email Rebekah to coordinate.

We are accepting treat donations until Friday October 25

If you have ANY questions at all regarding this event, please feel free to reach out to Rebekah DeBenedictis via email or phone (text): DeBenedictis.Kids@gmail.com or 310.993.7029

Lastly, we are asking for families to help in donating treats for us to use for the Trunk or Treat. We have created an Amazon Wish List for you to purchase from as we do have to keep in mind that we have students with allergies on campus and need to be mindful of what we are providing for the event. You can also ship items directly to the school (c/o Rebekah DeBenedictis) or the Amazon Wish List will allow you to ship directly to Rebekah and she will bring the items to school. You are welcome to purchase similar items in store from The Dollar Tree/Party City and online through Oriental Trading Co just to name a few options - but please take a look at the items on the list using the link below to get an idea.

Please place donations in bins placed in front of the school and office. We are requesting all donations to be collected by Friday, October 25th so we have enough time to sort through and purchase anything additional we may need for the event.

This is our annual TCPTA Project H.O.P.E. Halloween Costume Donation Drive for our Foster Care/Homeless Students and families in need from TUSD. We are now up to 142 Halloween Costume requests!! This is the most we have had in the 8 years of doing the Halloween Costume Drive. We have approximately 78 kids without a costume.

Please share with your friends, families and community members. If you would like to donate a costume or 2 or 3 or more, please click on the link and sign up.

We're excited to introduce Superstars Helping Superstars, an opportunity to help others show their Arlington school spirit. Donate any outgrown or unwanted spiritwear so that others have the opportunity to wear it too. There is a rack in front of the office where you can place your items in size order for others to see. If you are in need of spiritwear, feel free to look through the rack and take what you need. Let's all show our school spirit!
