Principal's Message
September 20, 2026
Good evening, Vikings and Viking Families!
Hard to believe, but the first quarter is coming to an end this week. To add to our final House Competition for the quarter, we will be celebrating Spirit Week as 7th Graders vs. 8th Graders. Students can participate by dressing up to each day's theme and earn themselves and their House points. See the schedule of dress days below in the Upcoming Events.
Minimum Day and Fall Break
Wednesday, September 23rd, is a Minimum Day. Students will be dismissed at 11:20 AM.
September 28-October 9 is our Fall Break. Have an enjoyable and relaxing break.
Online Data Confirmation (ODC)
Thank you to all who participated in our Online Data Confirmation. 77.75% of our families completed the confirmation which is 14% higher than last year. Way to go!
Parent Family Engagement Policy & Parent Compact
The Parent Family Engagement Policy and Parent Compact are available at this LINK and in your student's school planner on pages 12-17. Please read it over at your convenience and contact the school if you have any questions.
Have a fabulous first week of Fall!
Go Vikings!

Staying Connected - Download the ParentSquare App!
As Lodi USD continues to move towards our goal of clear, timely, and transparent communication, we want to ensure that our families are receiving communication with ease. You should already be receiving communication through email and text - if you're not, please reach out to our school's office to let us know. The next step with staying connected is downloading the ParentSquare app! Available for both iPhones and Androids, downloading the app ensures instant access to updates, and provides an easy way to interact with posts, direct messages, forms, and more. Download the free app by following the link in the button below.
If you need help accessing ParentSquare, please reach out to communications@lodiusd.net.
Have You Reported Your Student's Absence?
When your student is going to be absent for the day for any reason, please remember to call our office that day to report the student's absence. You can reach us at 209-331-7541 or email the attendance clerk at jasordaz@lodiusd.net. You have 10 days to clear an absence. Otherwise, the absence will remain UNEXCUSED.
Keep in mind not all absences are excused by LUSD. If the absence is for medical appointments remember to always ask for a doctor's note. Please have the student bring the doctor's note to the office when they return to school. If the student is late to school they should check into the office first. Students tardy to school receive lunch detention.
For early pickups, the person picking up the student must be on the student's emergency contacts and always show their ID to office staff. We encourage you to schedule student medical/dental appointments after school hours or during school breaks. We understand some early pickups are unavoidable, therefore try to always provide us with a doctor's note within 10 days to clear the medical absence. We appreciate families working with us to ensure the student is in school daily and on time. If you have any questions about attendance please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help.
