Citizenship Classes have had a very productive year at East Hartford Adult Ed! We had three students pass their naturalization interviews! On our last night of class, the students were presented with an overview of Shaelyn Reyes's Naturalization Interview. Shaelyn went through the step-by-step process that she completed on April 14th! We are all so proud of her journey and in addition to being honored for completing this process Shaelyn also received the Student of the Month Award! Her husband Marcos, who also completed his Citizenship program with EHACE and was a former Student of the Month, was on hand with their daughter, Jeylen, to honor Shaelyn!

Prior to this end of the year celebration students completed an extensive review of all Civic material presented and studied throughout the year! Students were rewarded with prizes for their continued hard work!

The Adult Education Teacher appreciation week started Monday with delicious donuts and hot coffee. Tuesday we proudly wore our Adult Ed T-shirts. Wednesday, included a fresh bowl of fruit salad with choices of toppings such as coconut pieces, walnut pieces and cool whip. Thursday we had yogurt and Uncle Crumbles granola. Thank you to Uncle Crumbles for donating all of the granola. Lastly, Friday we are ending the wonderful Teacher appreciation week with different types of ice cream. Strawberry cake crunch, mini fruit pops, friendwich (ice cream sandwich), and Lil” drums cones . It was a fantastic week sharing a little fun time with everyone.
