Teachers: Thank you!!! We appreciate you!! During Teacher Appreciation Week, we honor those that go above and beyond to provide our students with a bright and positive future. Our teachers and staff are the backbone of our student's education and continue to go out of their way to support our community.

If you see a teacher this week or next, please say thank you! They do so much for our students, families, and the entire RCS community!

Today, RCS Seniors were invited to celebrate their next big plans after graduation by wearing the colors or logos for their college, military, or employment endeavors. Big congratulations to the Class of 2022 on their tremendous accomplishments! We are so proud of you!!

Last week the RCS Middle School got a visit from the robot dog, SPOT! Through the Code and Circuits program with Dr. Towle & MS Technology Teacher Mr. Bevington, students learned about coding, real-life applications of the robot, and got to play with several different robots themselves, including SPOT! Big thank you to Dr. Towle and Mr. Bevington for putting together this amazing hands-on learning opportunity!

This week is National Physical Education and Sports Week! It celebrates the importance of physical and health education, kicking off National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. In celebration, each day at AWB Elementary starts with a healthy habits-related fact on the morning announcements. Today they also participated in Project ACES (all children exercise simultaneously)! PE Teachers Ms. McClave, Mr. Herwick, and student-teacher Mr. Kronau played songs over the announcements, and classes started their day off with a dance party. A great way to start the day and get moving!

We are excited to announce that we are in the planning stages for two international student trips during the 2022-23 school year: one to Costa Rica during the February Break and another one to Europe over the Spring Break (April).

Students learn so much by seeing the world, exploring new places, and experiencing new cultures - and we’re excited to bring that opportunity to our students. We will be hosting informational meetings about these extracurricular trips in the coming weeks to provide insight into these exciting trips. Please click the link below for more information.

Earth Day may have been a few weeks ago, but last week the PBC 5th grade student council was still hard at work taking care of our community! At their afterschool meeting, they decided that in honor of Earth day last month, they would pick-up trash outside along the lawns of Pieter B. Big thank you to them for helping keep our planet clean!
